Members of the public are being reminded to ‘Think Pharmacist First’ if they require treatment for less serious health conditions.
Medication for a range of complaints can be obtained direct from community pharmacists without having to see a GP first. Pharmacy services are available every day of the week including holidays and there is no need to make an appointment.
Under the Island’s Minor Ailments Scheme a total of 16 different treatments can be supplied direct to the patient, covering 14 different conditions.
