Quote / Testimonial: If you require urgent medical attention when the surgery is closed, please telephone 686949
The practice is part of MEDS (Manx Emergency Doctor Service) which is an out-of-hours service run by the Health Service.
At times, a partner in the practice may also be on duty to cover urgent medical problems.
You may receive advice, be offered a consultation at the base (which is situated at Nobles Hospital, Braddan) or, if deemed appropriate by the doctor, be visited at home.
Please remember that the doctor on-call may have been in the surgery all day and will be working the next day as well, so only phone if you feel the problem is too urgent to wait until the surgery reopens.
For extreme emergencies, please dial 999 and ask for an ambulance. This includes extreme breathlessness, choking, suspected heart attacks or chest pain lasting more than 20 minutes and not responding to usual medication.
The casualty department at Nobles Hospital is also appropriate for suspected fractures, severe head injuries or cuts which may require stitching.
